Practice Fees
We are a mixed-billing practice, please see our Practice Fees, Bulk billing, and discount policies, below.
Bulk Billing
Lutwyche Family Practice bulk bills eligible* GP consultations for:
- children 5 years and younger with a valid Medicare card
- patients aged 65 years and over with a valid Health Care Card or Pension Card
*This applies to eligible consultation-only appointments. Bulk billing does not apply to after-hours Saturdays, or procedures. Private fees may still apply for services that involve additional time, procedures, nursing support, treatment room use, dressings, consumables, equipment, privately supplied vaccines or paperwork.
Some preventive health services, such as eligible childhood immunisations, health assessments and chronic condition management plans, may be bulk billed where Medicare criteria are met.
Concession Discount Fees
Lutwyche Family Practice bills discounted weekday fees for eligble* GP consultations to:
- children aged 6-15 years with a valid Medicare card
- patients aged 16-64 years with a valid Health Care Card or Pension Card
- patients aged 65 years who do not have a valid Health Care Card or Pension Card
*This applies to eligible consultation-only appointments. Discounted fees may not apply to after-hours Saturdays, or procedures. Private fees may still apply for services that involve additional time, procedures, nursing support, treatment room use, dressings, consumables, equipment, privately supplied vaccines or paperwork.
Please let reception know if you hold a valid Pension Card, Health Care Card or other eligible concession card.
If you are unsure whether your consultation will be bulk billed, discounted, or privately billed, please check with reception.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellations and rescheduling with less than three hours’ notice, or failure to attend without notice, will incur a fee equal to the full private fee for the appointment booked. This fee is not eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Consultation Fees
The below fees are baseline prices for which the majority of consultations will fall within. Longer consultations, more complex presentations and treatments will attract higher fees which will be discussed at the time of consultation.
