    Parking

There is 3 hours free onsite parking at the shopping centre. You can get to Level 1 via the lift, travelator or stairs

    Appointments

A standard appointment is 15 minutes. If a longer appointment is required (e.g. cervical screening, employment medical etc) please advise the receptionist at the time of your booking.

If you are unable to keep the appointment, please notify the receptionist as soon as possible so we can allocate that time to another patient.

    Our Billing

We are a Mixed billing medical practice and appreciate full payment of fees on the day of consultation. We use Medicare online and Hicaps so the Medicare rebate can be immediately refunded to your bank account.

    What is Bulk Billing?

Bulk billing means that the doctor is paid directly by Medicare, on behalf of the patient. This means that the amount paid for each medical service is the amount set by the Australian Government. Note that some consultations such as occupational and Workcover consultations are not covered at all by Medicare and need to be paid for privately.

    Do you Bulk Bill?

Some services are bulk billed, this includes consultations for all children under the age of 16, childhood immunisations, care plans and Government funded health assessments. All other bulk billing is at the Doctors discretion.

Why don’t you Bulk Bill everything?

Unfortunately, the amount set by the Government for a consultation is insufficient to cover the costs of providing a high quality medical service, use of the practice rooms and facilities, staff and amenities.

“We value our doctors and think they are worth more than the small value the Government puts on their service!” We want to attract and maintain the very best General Practitioners and maintain a very high-quality service.

At the same time having lived as students for many years our doctors well understand financial difficulty and have the discretion to bulk bill when there is a bona fide financial need.

    Medical Certificate

You will need to see a doctor for a medical certificate. The certificate cannot be backdated.

    Scripts

A visit to the doctor is required for any prescription. If this is not possible, an ongoing script can be provided on a $15 fee. However, a script cannot be issued if the patient has not been seen for more than 3 months for the relevant condition.

    Referrals

Referrals to specialists can only by done by consultation with your doctor. Please make sure you see the doctor at least 24 hours prior to your specialist appointment. We regret that referrals cannot be backdated. Same day urgent referral may be done at the discretion at our regular doctor only at a fee of $15.
