Dr Zaw Thet

MBBS, MRCP, PhD, FRCP, FRACP (General Medicine), FRACP (Nephrology), FASN 

Dr Zaw Thet is a senior nephrologist and certified hypertension specialist practising at Rockhampton Private Hospital and Ipswich Hospital.

He received his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from University of Medicine, Yangon in Myanmar and his PhD from Griffith University, Queensland in Australia. He is a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and American Society of Nephrology.

Dr Thet is a motivated medical professional with academic knowledge, clinical knowledge, and management skills. He is an Associate Professor at Griffith University and The University of Queensland. Dr Thet has published many review papers and undertaken research projects.

Dr Thet accepts new patients for General Medicine and Nephrology at Lutwyche Family Practice.
